The challenge
Before teaming up with IONICA, the Grouse Mountain site was subject to outages and performance issues, particularly during high traffic periods. A promising winter season was about to begin, with substantial snowfall expected, and more customers than ever were booking their visits online. This was a key moment, and Grouse Mountain needed the right partner to help.

Benefit realisation
Since their move to IONICA’s Canadian cloud platform and site reliability engineering services, Grouse Mountain site performance improved dramatically. Page load times went down to 1 – 2 seconds – an improvement of over 50% on both mobile and desktop platforms. The site achieved an Apdex performance score of 99%, along with an unprecedented up-time and reliability record, with only one site interruption in five years
